About the CEO

Dakota began his marketing career at Virginia Commonwealth University. As an up-and-coming Marketer, Dakota took on several high profile projects and positions that would help him develop and hone his skills. As a sophomore he took control of his career early by partnering with Chris Pink, CEO of Exousia Design as the Head of Marketing. Still eager to become the best marketer that he could be, Dakota joined the American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter (AMA) as just a member. Within 6 months, his hard work and commitment to the organization prompted the organizations officers to make the unanimous decision to select him as the Vice President of Programs. A year later he was voted in as the President. In his senior year when most of his peers were getting ready to graduate, Dakota helped to create and manage two campus organizations: The VCU Mountain Biking Club and Diversity Theatre. To round out his senior year, Dakota worked for Mountain Dew as a Brand Ambassador – marketing its new line of beverages that were to be released later on that year. He also was responsible for leading the Explore The Outdoors:

The L.L.Bean IMC Program at VCU. This consisted of leading and guiding a 15-member team through an advertising campaign and serving as the liaison between the program specialist for Edventure Partners and L.L.Bean's Vice President of Marketing. He also was responsible for leading the marketing ad campaign, "Explore The Outdoors". As a result, L.L.Bean selected one of their advertisement campaigns to use for their future product line.


For all of his hard work and accomplishments, Dakota was nominated for two of the Department of Marketing highest awards, eventually bringing home the Distinguished Service Award upon graduation. After a brief stint working as a Marketing Manager for TruGreen ChemLawn, Dakota moved on to work for Bank of America. While working for Bank of America, Dakota worked with numerous small business clients. One thing that he realized from those interactions was that no matter what industry the business serviced or products they offered, one thing remained constant, the need for marketing. The growing desire to help these local businesses prompted Dakota to create A.C.T. Marketing and Business Solutions, Inc.

As a consultant, I have relentlessly and successfully pursued my goal of integrating and implementing a system of change, rebirth, and growth within each business I work with. Although each business may be different, my job remains the same; to isolate the problem or level that needs to be attained, and give my 110% to produce a viable solution and increase sales/profit or awareness of the product or service. Realizing that business as a whole is ever-changing and volatile, I will always continue to maintain my level of commitment, customer service, and patience with each and every customer, which I believe, are very important components that will keep me steady on the road of success"
